Saturday 26th November saw us host our 3rd Annual Awards Night, once again in the Colville Park Club, Motherwell.
What a fabulous evening celebrating the achievements of 2016! It was our biggest one yet!!
2016 certainly has been busy year, a successful year and a memorable year. Thank you to all who came along to celebrate the students achievements throughout this past year.
After a run down of the years events on the evening, which included details of the competition wins throughout 2016, we did count that GMAC students entered no less than 22 tournaments in 2016, almost 1 every second weekend! (We certainly were a busy bunch this year). Mr. McIlvaney asked the question “How many medals did we win over the year?”
Well now we’ve counted, it took some time …..excluding our inter club competitions, we won a grand total of 105 Gold, 129 Silver and 133 Bronze medals in 12 months….WOW!!!
As most of the awards have now been handed out to those who couldn’t make it on the evening, we’ve now collated the full list of winners and runners up, detailed below:

Congratulations to all the award winners and runners up, you all achieved so much this past year. Congratulations also to each and every student, as you all continually work hard to achieve your goals. We are all proud of your efforts.
We must thank all those who worked hard these past few months, working countless hours behind the scenes to bring it all together on night, setting up, and dismantling afterwards. Without a great team behind us GMAC wouldn’t be what it is, huge thank you to Lorna, Kerris, Chris, John & Jason for everything you do.
Thank you to Magic Pete, for entertaining the children during the evening, we loved watching them have fun playing all the games, whilst the parents got to enjoy their dinner 😊.
And finally thank you to Jason Kimmings Photography, again capturing all the emotions of the evening. We look forward to seeing all the photos soon.
It was another memorable evening, we look forward to see what you can all achieve in 2017…and are already planning an even bigger and better awards night for next year!
